TCI Log In Instructions:
Step 1: Go to: https://launchpad.classlink.com/Issaquah (or Google "Classlink Issaquah"). You will see the district logo on the login screen.
Step 2: Log onto ClassLink with your network username. The first 4 letters of your last name, first 3 letters of your first name, and your two-digit graduation year. Example: SmitJoe20.
Your password is the same as your regular network password. This is what you use when you log onto the computer at school.
Step 3: Click on the TCI icon.
Step 4: The first time you may be asked for your teacher's email address. Typically it is their last name, first initial @issaquah.wednet.edu. Then select your class from the list that pops up.
NOTE: Depending on the browser you are using; you may be asked to install an extension. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the extension. Once installed you will not be asked to install it again on that computer. If you skipped over installing the extension you can access extensions for browsers here.

Extra Credit Guidelines
- The only opportunity for extra credit is to attend a Cultural Event (museum, art gallery, theatre/dance/music performance, etc.) and write a commentary about your experience.
- You are eligible to receive extra credit only if you have completed ALL of the regularly-assigned work in both classes (extra credit shouldn’t be used to salvage a grade when a student hasn’t completed the regular class work).
- You may do one each semester to be turned in on the day of your semester final. Please do a different one each semester.
- Worth up to 10 process points (goes in both LA & SS gradebooks). The rubric is below.
- Please make sure you email one of us first before attending, so you know it’s an acceptable option.
- After attending:
- Get proof of attendance (stamped ticket/program or parent note)
- Write a commentary
- Requirements:
- Typed (double-spaced; 12-point, TNR font)
- Length: 2-3 paragraphs (5 – 6 sentences = 1 paragraph)

- Contents:
- What you specifically saw or did
- The date, time, and location
- Performed by (if applicable)
- Your detailed, thoughtful reaction
- Discuss how this ties in with our class
- What you specifically saw or did
- Requirements:
- Staple the commentary on top of the proof of attendance

About Mr. Maechler
This will be my fourth year at SHS, and I love being a part of this community! I am from the area (born in Seattle, mostly raised in Snohomish), but have lived all over the West coast of the United States (San Diego, Phoenix, Spokane). I earned my Bachelor's Degree in History from Washington State University (Go Cougs!), and my Master's of Initial Teaching from Gonzaga University (Zag Up!). Outside of school, I enjoy coaching, concerts, fishing, reading, and traveling with my wife.
